Fleetwood Southwind Motorhome
This Fleetwood Southwind, Model 32H, Motorhome has had no pets in its history. The coach is built on a Ford chassis, featuring a 460 CID gas engine with 61,500 miles. The four speed shifts smoothly. The chassis contains a 75 gallon fuel tank, 80 gallon fresh water tank, and 40 gallon black and gray water tanks. The 24 gallon chassis mounted propane tank provides fuel to the stove, oven, two way refrigerator, furnace and a 6 gallon hot water tank.
The chassis also houses a “Onan” 4,000 watt microlite gas engine generator with only 127 hours operation.
GFWR rating of 17,000 lbs. includes a 4470 load capacity. The 3500 hitch capacity results in GCWR of 20,500 lbs.
The chassis is equipped with “Safe Steer” feature and the 4 rear tires have only 3500 miles and the front tires have 5000 miles. An “Ultraguard” ½ “thick, solid rubber stone shield- “not a hula skirt” protects the tow vehicle.
The coach exterior is equipped with 7 basement storage compartments. A rear mounted ladder provide access roof mounted air conditioning unit, solar panel, and TV antenna.
A 16 foot awning plus three 4 feet window awning provide a shaded outside area and comfortable interior. Electric retractable provide easy entrance to the interior thru the side door.
The driver/passenger compartment includes a driver entry door, easy read instrument panel, tilt steering wheel, power steering and brakes, cruise control, remote heated exterior mirror controls, AM/FM stereo with cassette, CB radio and cold dash air conditioner. Three swivel captain chairs, plus a coach that makes into a bed comprise the living area. A 19 inch color TV is located between the front seats and is connected to a VCR and TV antenna booster.
The kitchen features a 3 burner stove with oven, a 1250 watt microwave oven, built-in coffee maker, double stainless steel sink with single lever faucet and a 2-door refrigerator that runs on either electric or propane power. The dinette also makes into a bed.
The bathroom includes a new fresh water flush toilet, sink, 3 compartment medicine cabinet, and storage cabinet under the sink with full size drawer. The standup shower with overhead skylight is mounted over the tub.
The rear bedroom includes a queen size bed with underneath storage, a hanging closet with 2 full deep drawers, overhead cabinets with reading lights and 2 nightstands with drawers and lamps.
A “Fan-fastic” vent fan and thermostatically controlled furnace provide fresh air ventilation and a warm comfortable interior.
Judging this motorhome with others of the same vintage, we consider this coach to be exceptional condition.
